Avalon Pharma Inaugurates Smart Classroom Project at King Saud University’s College of Pharmacy

In a milestone that reflects a leading model of collaboration between academia and the private sector, Avalon Pharma, in partnership with the College of Pharmacy at King Saud University, has officially inaugurated a major classroom development project. The ceremony was held on Tuesday, May 20, 2025, in the presence of the Vice President for Educational and Academic Affairs, the Dean of the College, the Chairman of Avalon Pharma, the CEO and Managing Director, and key leaders from both institutions.

The initiative is part of a strategic partnership aimed at enriching the university learning environment. Avalon Pharma fully funded and executed the comprehensive renovation of the classroom, introducing cutting-edge technology to support the college’s vision for digital transformation in education.

The newly developed classroom features an integrated digital display system with four synchronized smart screens, an interactive whiteboard, an advanced audiovisual system, and high-definition live-streaming cameras, as well as state-of-the-art electrical infrastructure to support seamless technology integration.

Mr. Mohammed Maher Al-Ghannam, CEO and Managing Director of Avalon Pharma, emphasized that this initiative is part of the company’s social responsibility strategy, driven by the belief that investing in education is fundamental to national development and healthcare excellence.

Dr. Abdullah Khaled Al-Shammari, Vice Dean for Educational and Academic Affairs, praised the project as a practical example of impactful collaboration, one that elevates the learning experience and supports the transformation goals of the higher education sector.

This partnership embodies a national vision for integrated collaboration, supporting the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030 in enhancing the quality of higher education and enabling universities to build modern, future-ready learning environments.
