Avocin Cream

Description:
Avocin 2% Vaginal Cream is a prescription treatment for bacterial vaginosis (BV). It contains clindamycin, an antibiotic that works directly in the vagina to fight infection. Compared to other common treatments, Avocin has shown higher cure rates, better comfort, and no stomach upset. You simply apply it once daily at bedtime for 7 nights. During treatment, it’s best to avoid sexual intercourse, tampon use, or other vaginal products. Since the cream contains mineral oil, it can weaken condoms or diaphragms—so they shouldn’t be used within 72 hours after treatment.

Directions:
Apply one applicatorful (5g, equivalent to 100mg Clindamycin) intravaginally at bedtime for 7 consecutive nights. If a dose is missed, apply as soon as remembered unless it is close to the next dose—do not double the dose. Avoid intercourse and other vaginal products during treatment.

Active Ingredient(s):
Clindamycin phosphate 2%
