Description:
Xibax (etoricoxib) is a selective COX‑2 inhibitor (NSAID) indicated for adults (≥16 years) to relieve pain, swelling and stiffness in osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis and gout. It also offers short‑term relief of moderate pain after dental surgery.
Directions:
-Dosage & Timing: Take once daily as prescribed:
• Osteoarthritis: start 30 mg; may increase up to 60 mg/day
• Rheumatoid arthritis / ankylosing spondylitis: start 60 mg; max 90 mg/day
• Acute gout: 120 mg for up to 8 days
• Post‑dental surgery: 90 mg once daily for up to 3 days
-Missed dose: resume next day; do not double.
-Overdose: seek medical help immediately.
